Every Image is an Offering

Created in partnership with the Marsha P. Johnson Institute and VSCO, the series centers and celebrates Black Trans and gender expansive folks in every day, cherishing themselves and each other. Several questions were asked as this project was in the beginning stages of development. “What contributions can I make to an evolving conversation surrounding images of Black Trans and gender expansive folks?, “What do I want to see more of?”, and “What would Marsha love to see in image-making today?” These questions contain limitless answers, as we all have different desires and needs from images. However, one of the ways I wanted to respond was by creating more images of us merely being, existing beautifully within various spaces.
